75W85 GL-5 GEAR OIL

  • Popular in many late model BMW, Dodge, Ford, GM, Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Ram, Toyota
  • Applications include differential oil, final drive oil, gear oil and transfer case fluid
  • Contains additional friction modifiers for suitability with clutch-type limited slip differentials - for most LSDs, no additional friction modifiers are required
  • This product is not designed for use in most manual transmissions or transaxles with synchronizers, as extreme slipperiness may cause shifting problems
  • Known formerly as LightWeight Gear Oil
  • Also popular in many Formula racing transaxles, including Hewland LD-200 and FTR sequential
  • Satisfies the gear oil viscosity requirements of SAE 75W80, 75W, 80W and 85W, as well as SAE 30 and SAE 10W30 motor oil

75W90 GL-5 GEAR OIL

  • Most popular Red Line gear oil, with thousands of applications for passenger cars, light trucks and racing vehicles
  • Contains additional friction modifiers for suitability with clutch-type limited slip differentials - for most LSDs, no additional friction modifiers are required
  • This product is not designed for use in most manual transmissions or transaxles in passenger vehicles, since the extreme slipperiness may cause synchronizer mesh issues that lead to shifting problems
  • Recommended for API GL-5, GL-6, MT-1, MIL-L-2105E, SAE J2360 and Chrysler spec MS-9763
  • Suitable replacement for a differential calling for an 80W90 or SAE 90 gear oil

75W110 GL-5 GEAR OIL

  • New product designed as an intermediate viscosity providing additional film strength over a 75W90, yet less drag than a 75W140
  • Developed with support from Red Line-sponsored racing team and project cars, provides improved limited slip operation under extreme loads and differential temperature
  • Offers gear noise reduction over 75W90, avoiding a significant jump in viscosity to 75W140 when troubleshooting noisy gear sets
  • Popular in many sports car applications as well as light trucks (Chevy 1500 Silverado, Tahoe, etc.)
  • Contains additional friction modifiers for suitability with clutch-type limited-slip differentials - for most LSDs, no additional friction modifiers are required
  • This product is not designed for use in most manual transmissions or transaxles, since the extreme slipperiness may cause synchronizer mesh issues that lead to shifting problems

75W140 GL-5 GEAR OIL

  • Popular for cars and light trucks like Ford Mustang and F-150, Toyota Tundra and Sequoia, Jeep Cherokee and Dodge Ram
  • Contains additional friction modifiers for suitability with clutch-type limited slip differentials - for most LSDs, no additional friction modifiers are required
  • This product is not designed for use in most manual transmissions or transaxles, since the extreme slipperiness may cause synchronizer mesh issues that lead to shifting problems
  • Recommended for API GL-5, GL-6, MT-1, MIL-L-2105E and SAE J2360

80W140 GL-5 GEAR OIL

  • Recommended for API GL-5, GL-6, MT-1, MIL-L-2105E and SAE J2360
  • Contains additional friction modifiers for suitability with clutch-type limited slip differentials - for most LSDs, no additional friction modifiers are required
  • This product is not designed for use in manual transmission or transaxles with synchronizers, as its slipperiness may lead to shifting problems
  • Popular in stock car racing differentials and transmissions

75W140NS GL-5 GEAR OIL

  • Contains extreme pressure additives like our 75W140 GL-5 oil, but lacks friction modifiers to balance slipperiness
  • Popular for historic and vintage transmissions, like Mid-1930s to early-1950s synchro-equipped gearboxes in cars and trucks
  • Helps with noisy or rough shifting in troubled A-833 Dodge/Plymouth 4-speed transmissions from 1964 to 1969
  • Option for noisy transmissions when mixed with 75W90NS or MT-90 to bring viscosity level up
  • Also used in clutch-type limited slip differentials in racing for maximum lock up-some users add Limited Slip Friction Modifier in small doses to customize slippage
  • Non corrosive formula, safe for use with all synchro materials

HEAVY SHOCKPROOF GEAR OIL

  • Film thickness greater than an SAE 75W250, yet low fluid friction like 75W90
  • For heavily-loaded racing differentials and transmissions, problem gearboxes
  • Most popular ShockProof product, many racing and specialty applications
  • Many performance racing applications like Sprint, Midget, Dirt Late Model and Quick Change Differentials, Detroit Lockers and spools, NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car rear ends
  • Not recommended for most synchro applications due to the product's extreme slipperiness
