Take control of the boost level in your turbo car with a GFB boost controller, one of the simplest and most cost effective power increases available.
VNT/VGT turbos are typically found on late-model diesel engines (rarely used on petrol engines), and often the actuator can look similar to a wastegate actuator. If you are unsure of your turbo type, please consult your dealer before purchasing.
The latest iteration of GFB’s feature-packed electronic boost controller now has the ability to monitor and display your engine’s air/fuel ratio in either Lambda or AFR. By connecting the analogue output of most wideband O2 controllers (i.e. Innovate LC-2, AEM UEGO etc, sold separately) to the G-Force III’s auxiliary input, you can toggle between boost pressure and air/fuel ratio display. Not only does this save you from having to install a separate AFR gauge in your car, it can also save your engine!
A lean mixture at high boost can destroy an engine in seconds, and a stand-alone AFR gauge is next to useless when accelerating hard as your concentration is likely to be (and should be!) on the road in front of you. The G-Force III safeguards your engine against a lean mixture by lowering boost to the minimum setting, and visibly warning you by flashing the display lighting.
Whether your car is a daily driver or an all-out track weapon, the G-Force III has the features to tailor boost to suit your needs. Set up to 6 boost presets and select on the fly, use the scramble feature for overtaking, launching, towing, or protecting the engine, and you can even customize the lighting colour to suit your interior! Want to adjust boost for towing? Change it if EGT gets too high? Have multiple settings for different driving conditions? Bring boost on earlier or hold it longer? The D-Force can do all of this and more! Using a unique boost control strategy, The D-Force lets you adjust the boost rise rate, peak boost, and closed-loop correction. There are 6 boost presets (plus an extra one dedicated to the scramble feature) that you can set up with different boost parameters for different driving conditions, and then activate them on-the-fly or at the press of a button.The unique scramble feature can be set up for a variety of purposes. It can raise or lower boost when activated with the screen button, or via the auxiliary input using a switch, button, or ECU output.
For example, you could use it to lower boost pressure for safety by connecting it to an existing warning light, or instantly access high boost by pressing a button or flipping a switch.
The D-Force can also display Exhaust Gas Temperature (in °F or °C) and has a user-adjustable warning. This feature requires the EGT plugin module, which includes a stainless steel EGT probe and weld-on exhaust bung, along with the module to connect it to the D-Force wiring loom. The D-Force kit is available with or without the EGT plugin module, and the module is also available separately.
The controller interface is easy to use with touch-buttons and one touch menu navigation. The boost pressure units can be displayed in psi, bar, kPa, and the peak recall feature lets you see your peak boost after each boost event.

Closed-loop boost control strategy – for the fastest possible boost rise rate and minimum drop off at high RPM, the adjustable closedloop logic helps prevent boost variations that can occur in different gears, RPM ranges and atmospheric conditions

From the very beginning of my career, I’ve learnt that it’s amazing where tinkering can take you.
I’ve been engineering for 35 years, including 10 years manufacturing components for the automotive market including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). I’ve been determined to push the limits of high performance engines since I was tinkering with my Mini Cooper S in the ‘80s.
When I bought my WRX in 1997, I decided to step it up a notch and get serious. At first, I bought components ‘off the shelf’. Most of these were expensive and imported. Indeed, this was true for the Australian-made ones too. Nothing, however, came even close to the quality I knew they should be, as they were made of inferior materials and of generally poor workmanship, and did not give me the performance gains I was looking for.
So I started designing, testing and developing “GO FAST BITS”, a range of innovative and high-quality blow-off valves, boost controllers, pulley kits and short shifters. These products, unlike what was previously available, were meticulously designed and manufactured from the highest grade materials, working the way they were designed to.
Performance should not be about compromise – parts should fit correctly and deliver real performance outcomes, without making the car difficult to live with on a daily basis. GFB now has three qualified engineers (mechanical and mechatronic), and a team of dedicated enthusiastic & passionate individuals who make the GFB name what it is today.
